High-Low-Close (HLC) charts are simplified versions of OHLC (Open-High-Low-Close) charts, with no open value representation. The opening value is anyway redundant, being the same as the closing stock value from the previous day. It's also customary to equally extend the closing tick on the other side of the vertical stick, to form a thin cross.
Our Stock Variation single-series demo charts show high and low values, and the closing price, at the end of each year. All our candlestick and OHLC charts, and their variations, use the same main data: open, close, high and low stock values for some random XPSW stock symbol, every year between 1999 and 2016.
