Circular or radial charts, usually created with a radar or polar chart, may display alternate background plot bands with a different interlaced color. Our interlaced color here is a semi-transparent gradient, but only few apps can show it as such. Somehow confusing, these bands or circular areas are usually called strip lines. Interlaced colors may apply to even or odd bands. In our charts, we tried to always start with the interlaced color with the first band, in the center, and all other even bands. When not built-in, we emulate the feature with specific code. Still, not all chart apps supporting polar charts can have this feature, as you see below.
